BiNA’s design offers a modern take on Boston’s classical elegance. The architect, Nader Tehrani, co-principal of office DA, worked with the existing columns, expanding them into large canopies to give them an animated (yet minimalist) look. The columns and canopies dance around the space in a vibrant landscape of umbrella-like vaults. Oversized windows overlooking Boston’s most traveled thoroughfare, Washington Street, are adorned with handmade curtains, providing guests with a quiet, comfortable spot from which to observe the busy world outside.
